The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) invites all Auction School Graduates who meet eligibility requirements to apply for the Larry McCool CAI Scholarship. The National Auctioneers Foundation (NAF) administers and manages the scholarship funds for the Certified Auctioneers Institute scholarship program.  The Larry McCool Scholarship was established in 2006 and provides tuition assistance to qualified auctioneers to attend first or second year of the Certified Auctioneers Institute.  The size of the awards vary based on NAF funds available.  Historically, successfully applicants may anticipate a minimum of 1/2 tuition scholarship to apply toward Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) school. Higher amounts may be issued at the sole discretion of the CAI Committee. Larry McCool CAI Scholoarship Applicants can apply for CAI I or CAI II course assistance.

The scholarship was named in memory and honor of Larry McCool, Mississippi Auctioneer, CAI graduate, and past president of National Auctioneer’s Association.  He was an Auction
Professional well respected by the industry as a business man and for his tireless dedication to charitable organizations.

The Certified Auctioneer Institute was established in 1975.
