Sam Williamson, REALTOR®, Auctioneer, Owner & CEO of Williamson Bros. Realty & Auction Co., Inc., in Athens, Georgia, was inducted into the Georgia Auctioneers Hall of Fame. This is an award of distinction determined by his peers and decided by the Georgia Auctioneers Association’s Hall of Fame Committee.
The awards ceremony took place during the Association’s Summer Conference and awards banquet in Helen, Georgia on August 18, 2018 and came as a complete surprise to Williamson.
Williamson is a veteran Auctioneer with over 23 years of experience. His expertise as a REALTOR® & Auctioneer is evident in his clear upbeat bid-calling, interspersed with entertaining commentary that keeps the audience alert. His events are effective for seller goals of obtaining top market value, as well as relaxing, informative, & even fun for the crowd.
His professional career began at 21 years of age, after attending UGA & teaching at a local middle school, Sam founded his Lock & Key business in Athens, Georgia which is now celebrating over 45 years in business. After becoming a REALTOR® & Auctioneer, he turned over operations of Clarke County Lock & Key, Inc. to his brother Allen in 1995 in order to devote his knowledge & expertise full time in his Real Estate & Auctioning career.
