Hello, and welcome to Georgia Auctioneers Association. The Board of Directors is extremely excited in regards to the new management group, Nardone Consulting Group, Inc. (NCG). NCG has made a big impact on our operations and will be working with us on a strategic plans to grow membership and member needs in 2010.

We had an extremely successful Summer Conference at St. Simon’s Island with good attendance, fellowship and informative seminars. Congratulations to Mike Loftin for being inducted to the Hall of Fame; he is a most deserving recipient.

As we all know, this is an ever changing economy, especially in the real estate sector. We are in the planning stages for content for the Winter Conference January 17-19 in Callaway Gardens and would love any input from you, the members, on topics you are interested in or think would be helpful for the Association as a whole at this and future educational events.

As the new president, one of my goals is to increase the membership. As an auctioneer, I feel the Association has been an invaluable tool in making me a better auctioneer and I want to expose as many of our fellow auctioneers to this tool to better enhance the overall industry. I challenge you to find one non-member auctioneer and encourage him/her to get involved with GAA. We all benefit from the increase in membership.

Once again, it is a pleasure and an honor to represent the GAA as the president, and please know the board, our management team and myself are working for GAA’s membership. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to call me, any member of your Board of our Executive Office staffed by NCG.

Best wishes for 2010,

Lou Dempsey
2009-2010 President
Georgia Auctioneers Association
